Our Mission

The configuration across all elements of the infrastructure, whether they are network devices, systems, applications, storage, VMs, containers and cloud are all important, and represent the "code" of the infrastructure.

Our mission at SIFF, is to provide visibility to all of these changes in order to help accelerate incident response, improve security governance and enable automation.

What the $%&! changed ?!

Our Master Plan

Our first goal is to collect all relevant config data in one place. Our users (including automation and AI Agents) should not need "tribal knowledge" to get the config data for their tasks e.g. which vendor, what location, which database, which API, which credentials, etc

From here, improvements will be seen in many areas:

All Config Changes. Searchable. In One Place
  • Is the actual config correct?

  • What changed?

  • When did it change?

  • Who made the change?

  • Was it planned?

Troubleshooting and Root-Cause Analysis
  • Can we audit config changes regardless of how the changes are made?

  • Can we automate / check security and best practice policies are being followed?

  • Are the changes planned, unplanned or unauthorized?

Security, Governance and Compliance
Process Automation and Agentic AI
  • Do we know how the device is currently configured?

  • Do we know what model / version or supported capabilities?

  • Do we know what resources are open / available?

  • Can AI generate the required commands to implement a planned change given the device config context?

  • Can we review what was actually changed by the change request and does it match the intended plans?

  • Is it easy to see the diffs between previous and the new changes?
